Sole to Soul
Being outside for even just 5 minutes lifts our mood and walking has been proven to help with stress, anxiety and even depression. By combining walking with natural awareness techniques such as mindfulness, we can unscramble while we ramble!
Our Sole to Soul walks combine elements of mindfulness and observation of the natural environment to help focus on the present moment, stopping us being overwhelmed by our worries and feelings.
The half day session starts with group discussion and basic mindfulness techniques. We then go for an easy grade walk, taking in a variety of environments and learning to focus our senses on the natural world around us. The walk will include opportunities to pause, reflect and refocus. You will be given a variety of approaches from which you will develop your own, personalised techniques. We finish with group reflection and a chance to ask questions or provide thoughts on the session. Contact us for more details
The full day session uses the same format but includes a more challenging walk in the hills. This could be hill that the group was wishing to climb or geared to training for a challenge walk. We have lots of ideas for all levels of ability so contact us to discuss further.
